Throughout my time as Director of Habitat of Humanity, which is almost 20 years now, I have witnessed millions of people fall into life threatening poverty. This type of poverty is common throughout the United States at almost 13.4% of Americans suffering from poverty, whether it derives from familial issues or from loan/debt problems. I strive to ensure that everyone who works with HOH is compassionate, caring, but most of all, that they truly believe in our mission. When looking you your campaign, I knew you had my vote because of the change you are trying to make as well, so it seems that your campaign would be a great fit for a partner for HOH. I noticed that you didn’t have a dedicated platform for poverty in America (which I believe could be incredibly beneficial), but I also noticed that your campaign funding is going towards charities that support your beliefs. I am writing to you today to explain how a donation program connected to your campaign through the website could help us follow our mission. By creating a consistent flow of revenue through the attention our website would be getting from your campaign, we would be able to buy larger amounts of land to create an environment similar to a neighborhood for those who HOH is helping.
